Stefano Boeri Architetti
Based in Milan and with offices in Shanghai and Tirana, Stefano Boeri Architetti has been dedicated to the research and practice of architecture and urbanism since 1993, with a constant focus on the geopolitical and environmental implications of the urban phenomena. The studio's design approach, Green Obsession, is embodied in the integration of living nature into architecture, of which the Bosco Verticale in Milan (Boeri Studio, 2014) is one of the most significant results. The projects and researches developed by Stefano Boeri Architetti over the years have allowed the studio to acquire a strongly defined identity and become a reference point in the architectural field for the implementation of urban forestry strategies in different geographical contexts.
Stefano Boeri Architetti's Green Obsession was recently honored by the United Nations with the UN SDGs Action Award in the "Inspire" category, as it "envisions sustainable cities and communities that prioritize health and well-being while intensifying climate action through its creative approach to urban planning, ecological connectivity and urban forestry - meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals."
